The artist revealed her decision on Instagram yesterday, mere days after giving fans a taste of her forthcoming album with a dazzling performance at Paris Fashion Week. “Well done,” she wrote on her Instagram stories. “No new music for a while now. Bye <3.” This was followed by a text post reiterating the same sentiment: “No new music <3.”
The artist also let her followers in on a text exchange with producer Sega Bodega, simply stating, “back to the drawing board.”
As if to hammer the point home, FKA Twigs posted a final photo of herself with her dog, captioned, “I will find you.”
This abrupt stop comes as a letdown for fans who were keenly awaiting the follow-up to her 2022 mixtape, CAPRISONGS. The singer is also currently involved in a legal case against ex-boyfriend and actor Shia LaBeouf, with the trial now postponed until 2024 due to scheduling conflicts.
