The Met Office has unveiled its first five-day forecast for Glastonbury Festival, and it’s looking like attendees will need both sunscreen and a raincoat. The festival is kicking off soon, with workers already busy setting up the legendary site. The first wave of fans will hit Worthy Farm on Wednesday, 26th June, ready for headline performances from Dua Lipa, Coldplay, and SZA, with Shania Twain taking the esteemed legends slot.

High-profile acts like IDLES, LCD Soundsystem, and PJ Harvey are also slated to perform, ensuring a stellar line-up that promises something for everyone. But, as any seasoned Glasto-goer knows, the weather is often the real headliner.

In the past, the threat of rain was a constant, with many festival reports turning into a soggy cliché. So, what’s in store this year? According to the Met Office, Wednesday (26th June) will see a warm start with highs of 26°C and lows of 14°C. Thursday brings a break from the heat, with a cloudy sky and temperatures around a pleasant 21°C. On Friday (28th June), expect a mix of sun and slightly cooler temperatures, peaking at 19°C. The weekend weather looks more settled, with Saturday enjoying highs of 21°C under clear skies, and Sunday wrapping up the festival with a slightly warmer 22°C.
