Bristol band Grandmas House have released ‘Blue Oblivion’, the final single before their debut album Baby You’re A Winner, due August 21st on Brace Yourself Records.

Produced by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Perfume Genius, Yard Act), ‘Blue Oblivion’ pairs churning, PJ Harvey-indebted verses with a sharp, slithering guitar line before opening out into a heavier chorus. The band have described the track as pivotal to how the record came together, explaining that finishing it showed them “we didn’t have to write music within any boundaries.”

The single follows earlier tracks ‘The Table’, ‘Baby You’re A Winner’ and ‘Dog’, all drawn from the same record, the quartet’s most developed work after three EPs: Grandmas House (2021), Who Am I (2023) and Anything for You (2025). Across the album’s twelve tracks, the band move between the elasticated rock of ‘Dog’, the brass-inflected post-punk of ‘Dance’ and the chamber-folk close of ‘Spring’.

Alongside the single, Grandmas House have announced a UK in-store tour, opening at Banquet Records in Kingston on the album’s release day and taking in Vinilo in Southampton, Truck in Oxford, Jacaranda in Liverpool and Vinyl Whistle in Leeds, before a hometown date at Rough Trade in Bristol on August 27th. The band will also host a free listening party at Bristol Beer Factory on July 31st, with branded beer cans, a food collaboration with Pizzarova and a meet-and-greet with the band’s mascot, The Headless Man.

A full headline tour follows from September to November, opening in Tromsø, Norway on September 30th and taking in Stockholm, Berlin and Paris, before a run of UK dates including a London show at Oslo on November 17th and a hometown date at Thekla in Bristol on November 21st.

Grandmas House, Yasmin Berndt, Poppy Dodgson, Zoë Zinsmeister and Polly Jessett, have built momentum with a sold-out headline tour of Germany in 2025, festival sets at Reading & Leeds, Green Man and SXSW, and support slots for Idles, Big Special and Arxx.

Baby You’re A Winner is out August 21st on Brace Yourself Records.
