H&M has made the decision to pull its Justin Bieber-inspired collection, after the singer branded the products “trash” and said he had not approved the items.
Bieber-themed T-shirts, jumpers, tote bags and phone accessories were all part of the H&M collection. Yesterday, the 28-year old star took to Instagram to urge people not to buy any of it, saying H&M had not been granted his approval or permission. In response, H&M maintained that all proper procedures were followed, but have still decided to axe the collection.

“As with all other licensed products and partnerships, H&M followed proper approval procedures,” a spokesperson said. “But out of respect for the collaboration and Justin Bieber we have removed the garments from our stores and online.” Bieber had written in an Instagram story: “The H&M Merch they made out of me is trash and I didn’t approve it. Don’t buy it. I didn’t approve any of the merch collection that they put up at H&M. “All without my permission and approval. I wouldn’t buy it if I were you.” Bieber has not commented since H&M pulled the collection.
