The 2025 edition of Solstice at Wasing is shaping up to be something special. The festival, set in the picturesque Woodland at Wasing from 20th to 22nd June, has landed James Blake as its Saturday night headliner.

Known for his genre-blurring mix of electronic production, delicate piano compositions, and ghostly falsetto, Blake will perform an intimate solo piano set, an ideal match for the festival’s nature-immersed setting.

Also on the bill are Salif Keita, Nubiyan Twist, and The Turbans, alongside Anoushka Shankar, who will lead the festival’s Fireside Sessions on Friday night, a mystical night of performances around the Sacred Glade fire.

A rare, stripped-back James Blake performance

Blake’s return to solo piano shows is a treat for fans who know him as both a pioneering producer and a deeply emotive songwriter. While he’s spent the last decade working with icons like Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, and Frank Ocean, it’s his solo material, albums like Overgrown, The Colour in Anything, and Assume Form, that have cemented his reputation as one of modern music’s most distinctive voices.

2024 has seen Blake embracing his independence, parting ways with his major label and launching a new era via Vault, a direct-to-fan streaming platform. His latest projects, including the CMYK 002 – Let Her Know EP and a collaborative album with Lil Yachty, highlight his ever-evolving artistry.

If his recent live appearances, including a surprise piano-backed performance with Timothée Chalamet on Saturday Night Live, are anything to go by, Wasing’s audience is in for something truly special.

A festival designed for connection

Wasing Estate’s solstice festival goes beyond music, offering wellness experiences such as sunrise ceremonies, breathwork sessions, wild swimming, and wood-fired saunas. It’s also alcohol-free, reinforcing the festival’s focus on mindfulness and presence.

Tickets for Solstice at Wasing 2025 are on sale now, with weekend passes starting at £142.50 and under-12s attending for free. More details can be found at wasing.co.uk/solstice.
