Lycett made headlines when he announced that unless Beckham walked back his endorsement of Qatar’s controversial world cup, he would shred £10,000 of his own money.

After Beckham failed to respond to Lycett, he appeared to shred the money in a video released yesterday. Instead, he has now said that the money was fake.
He claims to have donated the £10,000 to LGBTQ+ charities over a week ago.
