Afro-Soul artist Lulu has released her debut EP, Dear Disorientated Soul, via AMF Records today (listen here). The 21-year-old British and Nigerian singer-songwriter from South East London blends R&B, neo-soul, and pop in her music, creating a unique and evocative sound.

The eight-track EP explores the complexities of the human experience through soulful melodies and introspective lyrics. Lulu describes the project as “an audible representation of growing pains, born from prayers, struggles, and resilience. Each song offers its own perspective and captures the disorientation of the emotions I experienced while writing these songs. With my faith at the core of my existence and scriptural references subtly interwoven throughout the songs, the music becomes an extension of who I am, reflecting everything I’ve been, and who I’m becoming.”

Lulu first caught the attention of audiences with her single ‘Save Me’ and further showcased her versatility with ‘Yesterdays’, a collaboration with South African choral group The Joy. Dear Disorientated Soul includes these tracks along with five new ones, each reflecting her journey through life’s challenges and triumphs.

Rolling Stone UK described her music as “a true balm for the soul,” while DIY highlighted her ability to incorporate the emotion her beliefs invoke.

Lulu will perform a sold-out headline show at The Waiting Room in London on 28th May.
