Mackenzy Mackay has shared his latest melodious single, ‘Don’t Quit Trying’, which heralds the arrival of a brand-new EP, Life, Love & Upsets.

The motivational new track relays some of the life lessons the singer has picked up from his journey in becoming an artist – such experiences which are the bedrock of his forthcoming project.

Life, Love & Upsets arrives 7 June via FRTYFVE, which will be midway through a UK tour that includes a not-to-be-missed night at London’s Electric Ballroom.

Speaking about his latest track and its words of encouragement, Mackenzy has explained: “‘Don’t Quit Trying’ is basically a song about being persistent and not giving up on what you’re working towards.

“Whether that’s a career choice, trying to learn something new, beating a PB or just anything you’re trying to achieve, it’s just a little reminder to myself and whoever might need to hear it, not to quit trying at whatever it is they’re going for.”

The new EP the track derives from will mark the follow-up to the prodigious artist’s No Fixed Abode EP, which dropped in November last year.

Such releases have aided Mackenzy’s 100 million-plus streams online, and helped grow his fanbase to more than a million followers across his socials – an impressive feat considering his debut single arrived a little over three years ago.

The London-based Yorkshireman is now gearing up for a sold-out UK and European tour, which will feature shows across Germany, the UK and more, as well as festival slots at the likes of Reading & Leeds Festival, Frequency and The Great Escape.
