Mura Masa returns with a new single, ‘JUMP,’ released via his own label, Pond Recordings. The track reworks Zulu Lightning’s Soca classic ‘Hol up Your Foot and Jump’, layering its energy into a contemporary club sound.
Accompanying the release is a video shot in New York, directed by The Reids, and featuring the Double Dutch dance group Showdem Movement.
Following last year’s Curve 1, which saw Mura Masa shift further into club-focused production, ‘JUMP’ continues his exploration of dance music on his own terms. The track highlights his approach to sampling and genre-mixing, combining nostalgic references with forward-thinking production.
Beyond his solo work, Mura Masa has remained active as a producer and collaborator, co-writing PinkPantheress’ single ‘Turn It Up’ and remixing Troye Sivan’s ‘Honey.’ His influence extends into live music as well, with upcoming DJ sets at Boiler Room Paris, Primavera Porto, and Body Movements in London.
Alongside new music, Mura Masa has established The Pond, a label and creative hub in Peckham, set to officially launch next year. The space is designed to support emerging artists and provide a platform for collaborative projects.
With a steady presence in electronic music and an ability to adapt and evolve, Mura Masa continues to expand his creative output, both as an artist and curator.
