It’s the reunion we’ve all been waiting for. Well, some of us anyway. Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer are getting back together – and will be heading out on tour after releasing a new single next week.
N-Dubz was a name that had become synonymous with raucous fun when many of us were young, during 2007, ‘8 and ‘9. They seemed to capture that Friday night feeling of having a laugh and not taking yourself too seriously.
And now the trio are back, more than a decade after first announcing they were taking a two-year break. They made the announcement via a coordinated teaser video, in which they descend from a helicopter, emerging from it as a three-piece once more.
After going their separate ways, each member has achieved varying degrees of success. Tulisa (Tula Paulinea Contostavlos) became a household name through her appearances as a judge on X Factor – as a mentor for Little Mix at one stage.
Fazer has released solo music but filed for bankruptcy in 2013.
Dappy, meanwhile, perhaps the most recognisable of them all, released his debut album Bad Intentions in 2012. He’s had his ups and downs, though, receiving a suspended jail sentence in 2017 before saving a man’s life last year by talking him down from London’s Tower Bridge.
N-Dubz will be hoping to put all of that behind them now, having come together again as a group. Their tour is set for November and will go on sale next Friday – you can buy them from here.
