'Hers' follows previous single 'Settles', moving from the uncertainty of loving from a distance to finally letting someone in.

Nell Mescal has released new single ‘Hers’.

The song explores falling in love for the first time, and the freedom of letting your guard down once you’ve found the right person. It follows previous track ‘Settles’, which explored the uncertainty of loving someone from a distance; ‘Hers’ feels like the natural next chapter, moving from fear to trust. Mescal has described the song as being about surrendering to the good stuff, once the walls built up around love turn out not to matter with the right person.

Mescal recently played a set at London’s All Points East Festival, and will support Holly Humberstone across Europe this September, following previous festival dates and support slots for HAIM, Dermot Kennedy and Florence + the Machine.

Vogue has called her “on the brink of something huge,” while NME has described her sound as “candid and tender indie folk that tugs at the heartstrings.”
