Roskilde Festival is pulling out all the stops for its 53rd edition, with the announcement of 28 new additions to its 2025 lineup. Among the latest names are industrial rock icons Nine Inch Nails, rising rap powerhouse Doechii, and indie favourites Wet Leg, promising an unforgettable summer of music in Denmark.

Taking place from 28th June to 5th July 2025, the festival will showcase over 200 artists across eight days. With this new wave of announcements, the lineup now features 81 acts, including previously confirmed stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Stormzy, and Fontaines D.C.

Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Roskilde’s Head of Music, says the festival aims to highlight both current stars and future talent: “Roskilde Festival is not only about showcasing today’s best music; it is also about offering our participants a glimpse into the future. Artists like Doechii, Shaboozey, and Lola Young represent the next wave of global stars, and we are proud to be part of their journey as they shape the future of music.”

This year’s big draw, Nine Inch Nails, is no stranger to the Roskilde stage. Trent Reznor and co. last performed at the festival in 2018, and their 2025 return promises to bring a mix of their genre-defining classics (‘Closer’, anyone?) and boundary-pushing live energy. “Their live performances are legendary, almost transformative,” Jepsen adds. “Their return will undoubtedly be one of the standout moments this summer.”

Other standout names include UK singer-songwriter Lola Young, whose hit single ‘Messy’ has been making waves, and Wet Leg, who continue to ride their breakout success with quirky, infectious anthems. Hip-hop fans can look forward to Schoolboy Q and genre-defying talent Shaboozey, while rising artists like Yeule, Lucy Dacus, and Alabaster DePlume add exciting depth to the lineup.

For those unfamiliar with the Roskilde experience, it’s much more than a music festival. Since 1971, it has combined music, art, and activism, raising over 443 million DKK (£49 million) for humanitarian and cultural work. With 30,000 volunteers and a crowd of over 130,000 attendees, it’s a cultural phenomenon as much as a music festival.

Tickets for Roskilde Festival 2025 are available now, with full festival passes priced at 2,520 DKK (around £280). Two-day tickets are also on offer for 2,070 DKK (£288).

With Nine Inch Nails and Doechii leading the charge, and more acts still to come, Roskilde 2025 is shaping up to be an unmissable celebration of music and creativity. For tickets and more information, visit roskilde-festival.dk.
