Sleaford Mods have revealed plans for a reissue of Divide & Exit to celebrate the album’s 10th anniversary, along with an intimate UK tour.

The reissue, announced today (20th May), marks a decade since the release of the critically acclaimed 2014 LP. The new edition will be available from 26th July and will feature a special sleeve designed by British artist Cold War Steve, along with new sleeve notes by frontman Jason Williamson. It will also include a reprint of The Wire’s 2014 interview with the band and a limited-edition flexi disc featuring the unreleased track ‘Git Some Balls’ with artwork by Williamson.

“Where our previous album Austerity Dogs barked a directionless yet solid form of anger, Divide & Exit then carried this basic form of class consciousness,” Williamson reflected. “After the release of Austerity Dogs we realised we had seemingly created a formula… Andrew just took the formula and ran with it and his music started to sound much more compact and urgent.”

He continued: “Listening to it now, Divide & Exit is perhaps the most punk record we have done. There wasn’t anyone in the country doing what we were doing at that point, it feels like it was 30 years ago, but it’s only been 10. Mad as fuck.”

The reissue will be available on CD, featuring Cold War Steve’s artwork, exclusively from the Sleaford Mods and Rough Trade Records online shops. Additionally, a one-off t-shirt with the new cover will be sold, with proceeds going to War Child UK.

Sleaford Mods have also announced an intimate UK tour to celebrate the album’s milestone. The tour, starting in November, will revisit grassroots venues the band played in 2014. It kicks off at The Leadmill in Sheffield on 19 November, with stops in Edinburgh, Newcastle, Liverpool, Lincoln, Exeter, and Portsmouth, concluding at Bodega in Nottingham on 30 November. Tickets go on sale this Friday (24th May) at 10am BST.
