Fresh off a whirlwind summer of festivals, including stops at Rock en Seine and Reading & Leeds, Anglo-Irish art-pop quintet Soft Launch are back with their new single ‘Milkshakes’. And in true band fashion, they’ve dubbed it “the song of the summer that we’ve decided to release in September.” Classic.
‘Milkshakes’ brings a slice of retro-futuristic funk to your ears, complete with a warm, analogue production vibe courtesy of the legendary Spike Stent. It’s a sonic love letter to anyone who’s tired of the world’s noise and just wants to, well, drink milkshakes. What else?
Soft Launch’s live shows have turned into must-see events, and they’re about to kick off their sold-out debut headline tour next week, starting in Dublin. The band’s “I was there” moments continue through Glasgow, Newcastle, Sheffield, Birmingham, and more, before wrapping it all up in London on 15th October.

If you haven’t caught their earlier releases like ‘Cartwheels’, ‘Piano Hands’, and ‘In My Bed’, what are you waiting for? These guys are rewriting the rules of the modern boyband – no egos, just an infectious energy and trust in each other’s songwriting.
“They seize the stage and twist every notion of what a band can be in 2024…Your new favourite boyband has arrived,” says Dork. Clash puts it simply: “Slick, charismatic energy.” No arguments there.
