Suede are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their iconic second album Dog Man Star with a special edition release on 18th October 2024 via Demon Music. Fans can expect a newly mastered version of the album, alongside reimagined artwork and bonus tracks from the Dog Man Star era. This essential Suede album, originally released on 10th October 1994, remains a cornerstone of British music, known for its brooding tracks like ‘The Wild Ones’, ‘We Are the Pigs’, and the orchestral masterpiece ‘Still Life’.
For this anniversary edition, the album will be available across several formats, including a half-speed master edition on 180g black vinyl, and a newly mastered 3CD set. The 3CD edition not only includes the original album but also features B-sides from the Dog Man Star singles, plus rarities like the full-length version of ‘Stay Together’ and a series of unreleased tracks.

Reflecting on the creative process behind Dog Man Star, Suede bassist Mat Osman said, “Dog Man Star was the first time where we just said, right, what happens if you push everything further? The kind of band we are, how far can we take it before it breaks?”
The release of Dog Man Star 30 also comes with a visual treat: Suede have unveiled a rare tour film of ‘Killing of a Flash Boy’, one of the album’s cult B-sides, originally captured in 1994 by visual collaborator Mike Christie. The footage is part of a series of rare vignettes, celebrating the album’s legacy and showcasing the band at their most raw and dynamic.
The band’s reimagined artwork for this release has been designed by Paul Khera, Suede’s long-term collaborator, with input from Brett Anderson. This edition also includes sleeve notes from renowned music journalist Simon Price.
This milestone release comes at an exciting time for Suede, who’ve been busy performing across the UK and Ireland on a sold-out co-headline tour with the Manic Street Preachers, including a standout headlining set at the Isle of Wight Festival where they debuted a new track titled ‘Antidepressants’. The Guardian described the tour as “provocative and potent”, while MOJO said, “Suede are operating on a different level.”
Dog Man Star 30 will be available for pre-order ahead of its release on 18th October 2024.
