Tourist, the moniker of English producer William Phillips, has shared the latest single from his forthcoming fifth album, Memory Morning.

‘Crush’ typifies the producer’s fusion of atmospheric melodies and rhythmic beats to create a cerebral, transportative listen.

It marks the sixth cut from his forthcoming studio album, which arrives April 19 via Monday Records.

Speaking of his latest release and how it came together, Tourist has explained: “‘Crush’ is a track that really came together during the last leg of writing the album.”

“It felt like it was something that harkened back to my first album U and I really enjoyed writing something that felt like a younger me may have written.

“Sometimes you write music and it feels incredibly instinctive and direct – ‘Crush’ is one of those tunes for me.”

Drawing inspiration from dreams, memories, and in-between experiences, the releases from Tourist’s forthcoming album so far have pointed towards an album of dazzling electronic soundscapes.

Speaking further about the full-length project, Tourist has added: “Memory Morning is one of those albums that really took shape as I wrote it.

“I wanted to write something that felt like it whisked you away, an album that felt like a ‘place’, its own world, somewhere you might find new corners with each listen.”

Tourist is also gearing up for a UK and EU tour, with numerous dates already having sold out, including a headline slot at London’s storied Roundhouse.
