Willie J Healey announces October UK tour with new EP ‘143’

Willie J Healey has released his new EP, 143, alongside a video for the title track.

The EP mixes recordings made on Healey’s own 4-track at home with sessions made in New York alongside producer Loren Humphrey, who also produced his acclaimed 2023 album, Bunny. Healey has described 143 as a kind of personal mixtape, a compilation of favourites kept deliberately simple and direct, without much studio polish.

The title track takes its name from an old pager code Healey learned from a friend’s text message, meaning “I love you.” He’s said he liked the idea as “a nice way of not being too soppy,” noting the code dates back to when people still used pagers.

Healey plays a run of UK dates this October, including a support slot for Sea Power in Brighton and a set at Boia Festival in St Davids.

143 tracklist:

• Ditch
• S’all Good
• 143
• True Misery
