White Lies return with first new music in three years and announce 2026 UK/EU tour

‘Nothing On Me’ is White Lies’ most intense song yet, blending prog and krautrock with lyrical vulnerability.

White Lies Nothing On Me

White Lies have released a brand new single, ‘Nothing On Me’, marking their first new material since 2022’s As I Try Not To Fall Apart. The track lands alongside news of a full UK and European tour set for early 2026, including a date at London’s Roundhouse.

Recorded at The Church Studios in North London and produced by Riley MacIntyre, ‘Nothing On Me’ is a bold, frenetic statement of intent. “There is a disregard for any external influences, pressures, or expectations,” the band explain. “We’re driving with no brakes or seatbelts.” It’s the fastest, most intense song they say they’ve ever written.

Built around a synth sequence that shifts time signature against a motorik rhythm, the song draws from a heady blend of influences, from 70s prog (Yes, Utopia, Genesis) to krautrock and the jarring absurdist of Steve Hillage’s Motivation Radio. Its guitar melody teeters on the edge of the surreal, clashing joyfully with the track’s darker emotional tone.

Lyrically, ‘Nothing On Me’ tackles the difficulty of communicating during conflict – “how overwhelming it can be to relate to someone even when they’re close,” they write. It was largely recorded live in one take, with former Black Midi member Seth Evans on keys.

The track is released via Play It Again Sam and previews what’s to come from the London trio, now over a decade into a career that has seen them sell out multiple nights at Brixton Academy, Hammersmith Apollo, and 10,000-capacity venues abroad, including a packed-out show in Mexico City in 2023.

The tour begins in Dublin on 24th January 2026 and runs through 27 European cities, concluding in Tilburg on 27th February. Tickets go on general sale from 30th May.
