JOY (Anonymous) share new single ‘JOY (Sh*t You Make Me Feel)’

British electronic duo JOY (Anonymous) have released new single ‘JOY (Sh*t You Make Me Feel)’, alongside a source version offering a different perspective on the track.

The release follows previous single ‘JOY (Light in the Dark)’, continuing the duo’s focus on connection, emotion and shared experience, built around gentle melodies and soft, understated vocals that let the weight of the words carry the song. The duo have said the chorus is both about the ordinary hard feelings of daily life and about having a person who makes you feel all of it. The accompanying visualiser features Margaret, whose story reflects finding freedom in her partner later in life, a moment of feeling truly witnessed by someone. As the duo put it, “we all have people who make us feel something.”

The single arrives at a landmark moment for the band, whose three Hackney Church headline shows, October 24th, 30th and 31st, have all sold out, the third date added after the first two sold out within hours. The run follows a sold-out residency at The Jazz Cafe earlier this year.

JOY (Anonymous) will support Jamiroquai’s DJ sets across Colombia and Mexico this September, before a 2027 European tour supporting Ezra Collective. The single also marks the duo’s debut release as part of a new label partnership between Common Knowledge and Futures Music Group.
