Brandon Nembhard has just released his latest single, ‘Ceiling’ (listen here), a glimpse into his forthcoming EP, If Not Now, When?, which is set to drop on 10th October.
Working with his go-to collaborators, Parsqw and destrovsli, Brandon dives into the “what ifs” of life on this track. Over an orchestral beat, he raps about those pivotal moments where a different choice could’ve changed everything. But it’s not just about him—he’s also reflecting on the different paths his friends have taken. The result? A track that’s raw, relatable, and packed with that trademark Nembhard introspection.

As Brandon puts it: “I wrote ‘Ceilin’ with the duality of man in mind; the idea that there is both good and evil living within everyone. Despite my background and the seemingly coincidental proximity to the underbelly of society, I could become the person I am today, unscathed and perceptively ‘good’ unlike many who fall victim to their surroundings.”
‘Ceiling’ follows the success of Brandon’s previous hits, ‘The World is Yours’ and ‘Keeper’, the latter pulling in over 2.8 million streams on Spotify. With nearly 150,000 monthly listeners and Complex UK tipping him as one of the “UK rappers to watch in 2024,” Brandon’s star is definitely on the rise.
Born in the UK and raised in Jamaica, Brandon’s journey is as varied as his sound. His upcoming EP promises to be a powerful statement, combining his unique style with a visual element he’s crafted himself. If Not Now, When? isn’t just an EP; it’s Brandon’s latest step in pushing UK rap forward, blending personal reflection with sharp storytelling.
