Cheryl set to make West End debut

Cheryl (not Cole, not Tweedy, not Fernandez-Versini - she apprently thinks she's reached first-name-only-status now) will make her West End debut next year, as she joins the cast of 2:22, a supernatural, ghost thriller at the Lyric Theatre in London's West End.

Cheryl (not Cole, not Tweedy, not Fernandez-Versini – she apparently thinks she’s reached first-name-only-status now) will make her West End debut next year, as she joins the cast of 2:22, a supernatural, ghost thriller at the Lyric Theatre in London’s West End.


The former Girls Aloud singer and The X Factor judge will take over from TV presenter Laura Whitmore in 2:22.

Cheryl, 39, will join a cast including Hugo Chegwin, best known as DJ Beats in People Just Do Nothing, and Louise Ford from Horrible Histories. They will perform for a 14-week turn at the Lyric.

2:22 follows a woman named Jenny who believes her home is haunted, while her husband, Sam, does not. Lily Allen, Tom Felton and James Buckley are all stars to have appeared in previous seasons. Cheryl will play Jenny.

Cheryl has dropped her previous her maiden name of Tweedy, as well as ex-husbands Cole and Fernandez-Versini.

Now in its fifth season, 2:22 is moving to the Lyric Theatre after previous runs at the Noel Coward, Gielgud and Criterion theatres.
