Peckham’s very own Cosmo Pyke, a multidisciplinary artist known for his unique blend of indie, jazz, blues, and hip-hop, has just announced the release of his new EP, Low, set to drop on April 5th through his own label, Pykrete Records.

Accompanying the announcement is the release of his latest single, ‘Outlaw,’ complete with a video directed by Lúa Amaro Figueroa. You can watch and listen to it at the bottom of this article.

‘Outlaw,’ a song written while Cosmo lived at his granny’s house and recorded at Peckham’s Nzoyi Studio, showcases his knack for crafting nuanced melodies that reveal more with each listen. Speaking about the track, Cosmo remarks, “I was always an outlaw.”

Cosmo Pyke has made waves in the music scene since his 2017 debut EP Just Cosmo, produced by Fraser T Smith, and its follow-up A Piper For Janet. Known for hits like ‘Chronic Sunshine’ and ‘A Piper For Janet,’ he returned in 2023 with Curser’s Lament, an EP combining updated classics and new songs, each reflecting different parts of his life in South London.

The announcement of Low coincides with Cosmo’s first-ever European headline tour, kicking off in April 2024. This tour includes a significant homecoming show at London’s Electric Brixton on 25th April, which is set to be his largest headline show to date.
