We’re still waiting on the nominations, but the first major piece of information ahead of the 2024 BRITs has now been revealed.

The 2 March date gives the awards show a primetime slot on a Saturday evening for the second year running. The BRITs will be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX.

Last year’s host, Mo Gilligan, and the big winner, Harry Styles.

Nominations for the 2024 awards have still not been announced, nor has it been confirmed if the comedian Mo Gilligan, who hosted last year’s ceremony, will return to preside over the night. Harry Styles was the big winner in 2023, taking home four awards, including artist of the year.

“The move to a Saturday night for the first time proved to be a huge success, so I’m delighted we’ll be back in a primetime slot again in March,” Damian Christian, Chair of the BRIT Committee, said.

“A Saturday night show helped us lock in our most engaged audience ever, and we’ll be looking to build on that base as we connect with even more fans in 2024.”

“Next year’s BRITs will be our most ambitious show yet,” Christian continued, “with a host of exciting performances from incredible artists, as we look to celebrate the music that soundtracked our 2023.”
