End Of The Road Festival 2024 announces lineup with IDLES, Slowdive, Lankum and more

IDLES, Slowdive, Fever Ray, Lankum and more have been announced for this year’s End Of The Road Festival.

End Of The Road Festival 2024

Taking place at Larmer Tree Gardens between August 29 and September 1, the festival is geared up to be another hugely eclectic offering.

Given End Of The Road’s reputation in providing a boundary-pushing billing every year, it’s little wonder the early bird tickets for 2024, as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 tickets, have sold out – you can buy the remaining Tier 4 tickets from here.

Joining aforementioned IDLES and co. will be Bonnie “Prince” Billy (who festival organisers have been trying to book since EOTR began eighteen years ago); prolific indie-psych artist Ty Seagall; New Jersey cult heroes Yo La Tengo; electro-pop it-duo Jockstrap; Irish singer-songwriter CMAT and, inevitably, a whole lot more.

Want to hear more? You asked. Casisdead, Camera Obscura, The Lemon Twigs, Bill Ryder-Jones, Sprints, Snõõper, Militarie Gun, HotWax, NewDad, Lip Critic, Florence Adooni, Ichiko Aoba, Mary Lattimore, Cerys Hafana and Blue Lake. And yes, there’s still more.

Speaking about the initial lineup, festival co-founder Simon Taffe has said: “This year’s line up is very special to me. It includes a lot of artists who released personal favourite albums of 2023: Lankum, Nation of Language, Slowdive, Casisdead, Yo la Tengo, The Lemon Twigs, Joanna Sternberg, Mark Lewis Hamilton, Fever Ray and many more.”

“I’m also super excited that Bonnie “Prince Billy” is performing a very rare festival appearance – Will Oldham is one of the all time greats. We have been inviting him to End of the Road since 2006, so we can’t wait!”

End Of The Road will feature over 100 live music performances across its five stages, alongside a comedy and literature programme.
