Into the Spider-Verse was such a remarkable animated film. It felt like a truly groundbreaking piece of cinema with its urgent visual style combining several different animation styles and its timeless, but vital story.
When it was announced that a sequel(s) was coming, we were all excited, but also a little worried. Could lightning strike twice?
Judging from the brand new trailer that was just dropped, it definitely can.

The epic trailer gives us a look at Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy leaping into and through (or is it across?) the multiverse on a whole new adventure. And we spy some very cool Spidey suits.
The official synopsis reads: “Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.”
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is in UK cinemas 2 June, 2023.
