Greentea Peng is back, and she’s bringing her genre-bending artistry to the UK and Europe next spring. Hot on the heels of announcing her sophomore album, Tell Dem It’s Sunny, the soulful powerhouse has released a stunning new video for her single ‘One Foot’.

The video, directed by Peng herself in collaboration with ABOVEGROUND, is a monochrome masterpiece filmed in London. The moody visuals perfectly echo the introspection of the track, which is all about finding balance amid uncertainty. “One foot front and back again, the journey of perpetual longing,” the artist explains. Produced by OCT8VES, the song captures the raw emotion and hypnotic quality that have become her hallmarks.

The upcoming album, due 21st March 2025 via AWAL Recordings, promises a deeply personal shift in focus. While 2021’s Man Made explored global themes, Tell Dem It’s Sunny takes a more intimate turn. It’s about “the politics of self,” according to Peng, with a hands-on creative process that even saw her playing bass on several tracks.

If that’s not enough, her Tell Dem It’s Sunny tour is set to kick off on 25th April in Birmingham. Known for her magnetic stage presence and the rich blend of soul, dub, and jazz she brings to her performances, Peng’s shows are immersive experiences, often described as transcendent. Highlights include dates at London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Paris’s Le Trianon.

Since her COLORS performance of ‘Downers’ went viral in 2019, Greentea Peng has continued to push musical boundaries, working with the likes of Goldie and The Streets. This year, she’s kept busy with a Rinse FM residency and festival appearances, all while fine-tuning what promises to be an unforgettable record.
