Hak Baker is back: New video and epic collabs for October EP.

Hak Baker releases his powerful new video ‘Nameless’. He’s also teased his upcoming Nostalgia Death Act II EP, featuring Pete Doherty and out in October.

Hak Baker nameless

Hak Baker is back with a bang. His latest release, ‘Nameless’, is everything you’d expect – raw, poetic, and packed with his trademark honesty.

The video, co-directed with Fin Sampson, was shot on the Isle of Dogs, where Hak grew up, and it’s all about the real people behind the headlines. No frills, no gloss. Just Hak, his community, and a deep dive into identity, heritage, and what it means to live with a “slave name”.

“Wanna get rid of me slave name, but then it wouldn’t be me, what a conundrum to be in,” Hak sings, with the kind of emotional punch we’ve come to expect. The timing couldn’t be better. Filmed the day after the anti-racist protests on 8th August, it feels like a real moment of reckoning.

You’ve probably already seen Hak all over Instagram the past month. That clip of him on a bridge, talking about red ants and black ants attacking each other when you shake the jar, went viral – over a million views. “Who shook the jar?” he asks. The video hit home after far-right riots in London and got everyone talking about race, community, and the big questions we should be asking.

If you thought Hak’s Nostalgia Death Act I was big, brace yourself. The second half, Nostalgia Death Act II, is out on 11th October, and he’s roped in some serious names—Pete Doherty, Baxter Dury, and Joe James. Expect more of the brutally honest lyrics and unfiltered storytelling that makes Hak one of the most exciting voices in UK music right now. “Nostalgia can be a trap and I am a man plagued by bad habits,” Hak admits, and you can feel that struggle in every track.

If you’ve seen Hak live this summer, you’ll know he’s unstoppable. From Reading & Leeds to headlining Somerset House Summer Series, he’s bringing his Mis-Fit vibes to every stage. If you haven’t caught him yet, don’t panic – he’s got a couple of UK dates lined up: 7th September at Signature Brewery and 28th September in Margate. Do yourself a favour and get there.
