A Shakespeare favourite and a classic comedy are headed to our cinema screens as the National Theatre announces its newest cinema lineup for Autumn 2022.
Much Ado About Nothing and Jack Absolute Flies Again will be broadcast in the UK this autumn and around the world later in the year.
Much Ado About Nothing will be directed by a National Theatre regular Simon Godwin, who also directed Romeo & Juliet that aired on Sky Arts and starred Jessie Buckley and Josh O’Connor as the star-crossed lovers. This production of Much Ado stars Katherine Parkinson and John Heffernan.
Also heading to our screens is Jack Absolute Flies Again, which is based on Richard Brinsley Sheridan’s The Rivals. Directed by Emily Burns, Jack Absolute Flies Again promises to be a rollicking good time at the theatre and stars Caroline Quentin, Laurie Davidson, Natalie Simpson and Kelvin Fletcher.
Much Ado About Nothing will screen in September, followed by Jack Absolute Flies Again in October and tickets are on sale now.
