Liverpool’s own Pixey has moved into the arena of entirely self-produced music with her latest track ‘The Thrill Of It’.

‘The Thrill Of It’ is a story of Pixey’s confrontation with a life-threatening illness and the subsequent period of recovery that put her life on pause. While her peers lived their 20s to the fullest, Pixey was left to navigate the complexities of youth constrained by health.

“The song reflects a time in my life where I was confined to recovery whilst my friends were living their own lives carefree,” she shares, highlighting the song’s emotional depth.

Musically, ‘The Thrill Of It’ is a nod to the 90s, with influences that shine through in its heavy vocal delay and anthemic pop vibes. It’s a call to dance, to feel every beat, and to momentarily forget life’s burdens. Give it a spin below.

Following the success of ‘Daisy Chain’, her collaboration with Tayo Sound, Pixey continues to capture the attention of the music world. With her tracks becoming anthems for Liverpool FC’s campaigns and gracing the airwaves of MTV’s Gonzo, Pixey is fast becoming a household name. Her summer performances, including a memorable set on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading & Leeds, only solidify her status as one of the UK’s most promising new artists.
