The xx singer’s Mid Air album arrived last Friday, 8 September, amid significant anticipation – not only due to Romy’s work as vocalist for the London indie-electronic outfit but also the collaborative efforts with producers Fred again.., Stuart Price, and bandmate Jamie xx that went into making it.
Romy’s album was also following in the footsteps of solo albums from her other bandmates, with Jamie xx and Oliver Sim having acclaimed records of their own.
And now that her solo LP has finally landed, Romy will be taking the show on the road across the continent and over the pond, for a series of shows designed to reflect the record to its truest sense.
The shows have been billed as “places for celebration, salvation and sanctuary on the dancefloor” and will see Romy joined by a personally curated selection of DJs.
