Surprise trailer for new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film drops online

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem will arrive on our screens this August and we now have a trailer to prove that.

It’s always a promising start when the trailer starts with a cool, animated shot of the New York skyline and the words “From Permanent Teenager Seth Rogen…” appear.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem is hitting our cinemas this August and after a quick teaser taste yesterday, the full trailer has appeared online and we are officially excited for this one. We’re still not quite recovered from the 2014 monstrosity that Michael Bay produced.

Check out the first trailer below.

The official synopsis gives us the lay of the land: “After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.”

While Jeff Rowe directs, Rogen is on producing duties here, and Kyler Spears is credited as a co-director.

From the trailer, it looks like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem is going for a similar vibe as Spider-Man Into The Spider-verse, which is also getting its sequel this year. The animation looks very cartoonish, and that’s a compliment if there ever was one.

The film also boasts one hell of a voice cast which should make this an appealing film for kids and adults alike. Rogen will lend his voice to a character, as will Ant-Man himself, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, John Cena and Hannibal Buress, among others.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem is in cinemas on 4th August
