The Bracknall have shared a striking new video for ‘Falling Out Of View’, the title track from their acclaimed second album.
Released almost a year to the day after the album itself, the visual brings the Falling Out Of View era to a close. The record marked a major moment for the band, reaching No. 3 on the Official Independent Albums Chart and No. 1 on the Official Independent Breakers Chart, following a £43,000 crowdfunding campaign that helped bring the project to life.
Performed live, the album cycle has been just as emphatic. The Bracknall sold out a 3,000-capacity show at Birmingham’s O2 Academy 2, alongside packed London dates and standout festival appearances at Truck and the Isle of Wight.
The song itself sits at the emotional centre of the record. Built around sweeping drama and anthemic release, ‘Falling Out Of View’ captures the helplessness of watching someone you love disappear into addiction, underscored by a cracking guitar solo.
Frontman Jack Dacey explains:
“This song was my view on watching a friend live with someone in addiction. Loving someone that’s unreachable and watching their life play out in front of you with no control.”
That emotional weight is amplified by the new video, which focuses on two brothers whose bond persists despite lives shaped by alcoholism, grief, and petty crime. Addiction is central, but so too is loss, with the surviving brother’s pain lingering in every frame.
The film stars and was co-directed by longtime friend of the band Elliot Warren, whose recent work includes appearances in Masters Of The Air and A Thousand Blows, alongside writing credits on Top Boy. He is joined by performance artist Joss Carter, with Elliott Gonzo co-directing and Maximilian McKay handling cinematography. The video was filmed in Southend.
Next up, The Bracknall will play headline shows in Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow, before a summer run of festivals. The year will culminate with their biggest London show to date at KOKO on 4th December, with further tour details expected soon.
