Today, New York City’s sibling duo, The Lemon Twigs, comprising Brian and Michael D’Addario, unveil their latest single, ‘How Can I Love Her More?’, setting the tone for their eagerly awaited album, A Dream Is All We Know, slated for release on May 3rd via Captured Tracks.

Tackling themes of love and its complexities, ‘How Can I Love Her More?’ is a musical odyssey, marrying blaring horns and strings with dual drum sets, an adventurous bass, theremin, flutes, and harpsichord. The D’Addario brothers describe the track as an attempt “to bridge the gap between professional Brill Building writing and the more off-the-wall writing style of the post-Sgt Pepper psychedelic scene,” emphasising its mix of catchy pop sensibilities with a wealth of musical innovation.

The accompanying video, directed and edited by The Lemon Twigs themselves, is a whimsical journey through Central Park and Museum Row. It captures the essence of NYC with a nod to 1920s surrealist influences.

A Dream Is All We Know promises a journey back to the sounds of 1968, meticulously recorded to tape by the brothers using period-specific equipment. With influences ranging from the LennonMcCartney songbook to The Move, Big Star, and beyond, the album not only revisits but reinvigorates the era’s music. Featuring collaborations with artists like Sean Ono Lennon and reflecting on their expansive career, this album marks a significant point of growth for The Lemon Twigs.

The album follows their 2023 hit, Everything Harmony, earning acclaim for its emotional depth and craftsmanship. With A Dream Is All We Know, The Lemon Twigs further refine their distinctive sound, showcasing their evolution from inspired teenagers to seminal artists in their own right.

The album is available for pre-order, and its rich tracklist promises an eclectic mix of musical exploration. The Lemon Twigs are also set to bring their vibrant live performances to stages across Europe, including a sold-out show in Madrid and a headline slot at the End of the Road Festival in the UK.
