The Mandalorian | Season 3 trailer unites Grogu and Mando

Streaming on Disney+ this March, The Mandalorian reunites with the adorable Grogu in the new trailer for season 3.

Pedro Pascal is having one hell of a year. It’s only January, he’s already headlining the biggest TV show of the year, and he stars in the brand new trailer for The Mandalorian season 3.

Pascal plays the titular Mandalorian, also known as Din Djarin, who, all the way back in season 1, agreed to protect Grogu, also known as Baby Yoda, before his real name was revealed.

The series has delved deep into the lore and mythology of the Mandalorian bounty hunters and has proved incredibly popular among Star Wars fans.

At the end of season 2, Mando and Grogu parted ways as Grogu left to learn the ways of the Jedi with Luke Skywalker, but it seems the pair will reunite in the new season, as seen in the trailer and the new poster.

In the trailer, Mando says he will go to Mandalore, the planet from which all Mandalorians come, to be forgiven for his “transgressions”. Mando has broken pretty much all the Mandalorian rules, including removing his helmet. Mandalorians aren’t permitted to show their faces, so Mando has committed a serious crime here.

There was also a surprise character reveal as it seems that Babu Frik, a fan favourite from the otherwise deeply hated The Rise of Skywalker, makes a return. Or at least, his species does.

The basic synopsis doesn’t reveal much about the show just yet: “The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

The Mandalorian Season 3 will stream on Disney+ on March 1.
