Wet Leg have unveiled a striking new video for their single ‘mangetout’, a standout cut from their chart-topping second album moisturizer.

Released this summer, the record cemented the Isle of Wight duo’s status as one of Britain’s most inventive modern guitar acts, pairing dry wit with the kind of offbeat surrealism that’s become their trademark.

Directed by Alice Backham, the ‘mangetout’ video opens with singer Rhian Teasdale dancing through cornfields and along windswept beaches in a glimmering pair of 70s-style silver shorts. What begins as playfully nostalgic soon slides into something darker. Swamped by an enormous wig and streaked with blood, Teasdale transforms into a kind of pop horror figure – both grotesque and oddly compelling.

The song itself is classic Wet Leg: sardonic, deceptively light, but edged with unease. The visual leans into that tension, twisting absurdity into discomfort. Few bands manage to turn silliness and menace into such close companions.

It’s been a landmark year for Wet Leg. moisturizer became their second UK Number One, building on the runaway success of their debut, and their recent Glastonbury set confirmed their live magnetism. This autumn they’ll take that energy on the road for a sold-out UK headline tour, concluding at London’s Royal Albert Hall on 13th November.

To close out 2025, the band will headline Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations – a suitably theatrical stage for a duo that thrives on contradiction, chaos and charm.

The video for ‘mangetout’ is out now.
