The Beyhive have finally been satisfied with the announcement of a Beyoncé tour in stadiums across the globe in support of her latest album Renaissance.

The pop icon had recently performed at a private event in Dubai, in a somewhat controversial show that was only attended by celebrities, influencers and the mega-rich.

The singer had also chosen not to perform any hits from her latest album — a record which borrows heavily from aspects of queer culture — in a region where homosexuality is illegal. Beyoncé’s latest announcement will quench the first of Renaissance fans — and no doubt Bey’s fans more widely.

This will be the first tour Beyoncé has been on since 2018’s On the Run II Tour with her husband, Jay-Z. Her last solo headline tour was the Formation World Tour back in 2016.

Announcing the tour on her Instagram, Beyoncé could be seen donning the same attire as she is on the Renaissance album cover, wearing a disco-balled cowboy hat and riding a star-studded horse. Beyoncé will start her tour on May 10 in Stockholm, Sweden, before performing all over Europe. The tour will conclude in September in New Orleans. She will perform six UK shows throughout the tour, including Cardiff’s Principality Stadium (May 17), Edinburgh’s Murrayfield (May 20), and Sunderland’s Stadium of Light (May 23).

A further three London shows will all take place at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday, May 29, Tuesday, May 30 and Friday, June 2.
