The 2025 Grammy Awards last night saw Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé among the night’s biggest winners. While the ceremony’s known for its surprises, this year’s event stuck to the script: massive wins, emotional tributes, and at least one performance that had X in a meltdown.

Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth year running, the ceremony saw Beyoncé make history yet again with Cowboy Carter, her first Album of the Year win after 11 nominations. It’s an overdue recognition that fans have been yelling about for years, and now it’s official.

Lamar, meanwhile, dominated the rap categories, taking home five awards, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year for ‘Not Like Us’.

Other big winners included Sabrina Carpenter (Best Pop Solo Performance for ‘Espresso’), Charli XCX (Best Dance Pop Recording for Von Dutch and Best Dance/Electronic Album for Brat), and Chappell Roan, who took home Best New Artist.

The night wasn’t all about trophies. There was a moving tribute to Quincy Jones, led by Stevie Wonder and Janelle Monáe, while Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars performed a heartfelt set dedicated to Los Angeles in the wake of recent wildfires. Will Smith even made a surprise appearance to introduce the tribute, proving once again that the Grammys love a ‘wait, what?’ moment.

In a twist that nobody expected but everyone enjoyed, The Beatles took home Best Rock Performance for Now and Then, making it their first Grammy win in decades. Turns out, even AI-powered Lennon vocals can score a trophy.

Here are some of the key winners from the night:

Record of the Year: Kendrick Lamar – ‘Not Like Us’
Album of the Year: Beyoncé – ‘Cowboy Carter’
Song of the Year: Kendrick Lamar – ‘Not Like Us’
Best New Artist: Chappell Roan
