Peace Share New Single ‘Happy Cars’

Peace have shared the first single taken from their forthcoming album, and their first single since 2018.

Peace

The indie-rock outfit’s fourth studio album Utopia arrives next week (3 November) and by the sounds of things on new single ‘Happy Cars’, they’re in pretty bright spirits.

Utopia technically arrived earlier this year, exclusively to some fans through a password-protected website.

But soon it’ll be available fully on vinyl (although the date for full access on all streaming services and via digital stores is yet to be announced). Have a listen to ‘Happy Cars’ for a taste of what’s in-store.

Emerging from a two-year hiatus, Peace have also been reborn as a duo, comprising brothers Harry and Sam Koisser.

According to the band, Utopia will feature folk and ambient electronica elements, showcasing a maturing of their signature sound.

The artwork for the album was shot by acclaimed artist and photographer Martin Parr, who also shot the album cover for Blur’s latest acclaimed album The Ballad of Darren

The photograph used for Peace’s forthcoming album depicts Glastonbury Tor in Somerset, England, and was taken in 1975 as part of Parr’s ‘Beauty Spots’ collection.
