Rising alt-pop star Phoebe Hall has just announced her new EP, Stop Before It Starts, set to hit the airwaves on 15th March 2024 via Fear Records. And to give us a taste of what’s to come, she’s released her latest single, ‘Like This’, after it premiered on BBC Radio 1’s FuturePop show.

Following the buzz of last month’s ‘Codependent’, ‘Like This’ is another step in Phoebe Hall’s full-fledged dive into the pop world. She’s evolved from her initial bedroom sound but kept the raw, intimate touch that’s won her a dedicated following.

‘Like This’ is about Phoebe’s struggle with identity and appearance. It’s a strong pop number with honest lyrics, groovy guitar riffs, and a solid beat. “It’s about the tension of fitting in while wanting to break free from societal norms,” Phoebe explains. “It’s a queer experience of trying to find comfort in your own skin, despite societal and physical constraints.”

Phoebe’s no stranger to the spotlight. After rocking stages at Latitude Festival & All Points East, her debut EP ‘Runaway’ grabbed attention from BBC Radio 1 Introducing and landed her a Maida Vale session. With continued support from Radio 1’s Future Pop show, she’s clearly making waves.
