Emerging alt-pop artist Selin has released her new single ‘Human’, throwing together thoughtful lyrics with a pulsating sound.
The Turkish-raised, London-based singer-songwriter delves into the complexities of self-reflection and relationships in ‘Human’, a heartfelt exploration of emotions encapsulated by Selin’s powerful vocal delivery and vivid songwriting. This latest release is accompanied by a cinematic music video directed by Birkan Tercanlı, shot against the backdrop of London’s dynamic scenery. Watch it below:
Discussing the inspiration behind the song, Selin shared, “Sometimes, especially in relationships, we don’t know exactly what kind of person we want to be with because we learn new things about ourselves every day, experiencing what we like and dislike as we live life. Somehow, even though we can’t pinpoint the exact reason, we can’t let go of that person.

“We continue the relationship for a while longer by hiding the truth within us. Perhaps many people have experienced the inability to confront the truth at some point in their lives. What is enough for us? Perhaps the problem is the feeling of inadequacy within us and not finding the people we bring into our lives enough.”
With her debut album on the horizon, Selin positions herself as a notable voice in the alt-pop scene. Her music entertains and provokes thoughts about our interactions and the emotional truths we often conceal.
