Sting is poised to delight fans at a slew of idyllic venues this coming Summer, kicking off in Cheshire’s Delamere Forest on 14th June, before journeying to Cork’s Musgrave Park on the 18th, followed by Belfast’s Ormeau Park on the 19th. He’ll conclude his British Isles leg of performances in Suffolk’s Thetford Forest on the 22nd and Nottinghamshire’s Sherwood Pines on the 23rd. A press release assures that the musician will be backed by “an electrifying rock ensemble.” Notably, Blondie will join Sting for the Cork and Belfast gigs, adding another layer of allure to these already highly-anticipated shows.

Fan club members can get the jump on tickets with a pre-sale starting on October 30, while general sales will commence on 3rd November at 9am GMT. Last year, the singer-songwriter has kept busy with a range of performances in the UK and Ireland. 2022 also saw Sting settling in for a six-night residency at the London Palladium in April. whynow was in attendance, and gave the event a three-star rating. In our review, Teddy Coward wrote: “Sting, a master in maintaining a fresh look (I repeat, he’s 70), did his best, weaving in ‘Walking on the Moon’ and ‘Get Up, Stand Up’. Credit here should equally be paid to his band for their versatility in play. Overall, it was a solid night of entertainment at the Palladium, and one that fans will no doubt love – if only as much as Sting loves himself.” His 15th solo studio album, The Bridge, was released in 2021, further strengthening a career that shows no signs of slowing down. In February 2022, Sting added his name to the growing list of artists who are selling their back catalogues. His own was reportedly flogged for a whopping $300million (£225million).
