Set for release on 28th March via Nashville-based Thirty Tigers, Metro will mark the band’s fourth full-length album, following 2022’s Pretty Monsters.
The LP follows a protagonist navigating a dystopian subway, made to confront their darker side, with The Blue Stones vocalist and guitarist Tarek Jafar explaining: “The subway is a metaphor for the conflict we all face, it’s about balancing societal expectations with your own self-serving desires.”
This gritty arc has so far been embodied in the raw, distorted sounds of singles ‘Your Master’, ‘Kill Box’ and now brand-new track ‘Come Apart’ too – have a listen to the track via its visualiser below.
Speaking further about Metro and the band’s intentions for it, The Blue Stones drummer Justin Tessier has added: “We’ve always wanted our music to empower people.
“This record is about reconnecting with your authentic self – the part of you buried under everyone else’s expectations.”
