I’ll keep it brief. It’s a bank holiday.

This week has seen the return of huge names like Jake Bugg and Jamie xx, who have both released new singles, ‘Seven Bridge Road’ and ‘LET’S DO IT AGAIN’, respectively. Jamie xx’s new song, in particular, is a good one to welcome in what feels – tentatively – like the start of summer. I know it’s mid-April. I’ll say it anyway.

The brilliant Alex Izenberg has dropped a new track, as has the rising star Léa Sen. American Idol propelled teenager, Lauren Spencer Smith, unveils ‘Flowers’, the follow up to her massively successful ‘Fingers Corssed.’ Speaking of teenagers…Alfie Templeman. The prolific young Brit keeps churning ’em out.

Little known Bessie makes the list, as does the superstar Phoebe Bridgers, which just leaves Digga D’s new album. There actually haven’t been many big album releases this week, though the breadth of the singles and the quality of last week’s albums provides more than enough to keep going.

Happy Easter. Au revoir.
