The first Wilderness trailer gave us a taste of Taylor Swift’s Look What You Make Me Do (Taylor’s Version).

Swift has been on a mission to re-record her tracks after Scooter Braun bought her back catalogue from her previous record label. Swift never owned the masters of her songs, but she’s been working hard to right that wrong.

The next album being re-recorded will be Reputation and we’ve got a taste of ‘Look What You Make Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ in the trailer for British thriller Wilderness.

Take a look and a listen below.

Granted, this is only a teaser trailer for the series, which premieres on 15 September on Prime Video, but we are intrigued.

Here’s the synopsis: “The defiant ‘Look What You Made Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ reflects Liv’s (Jenna Coleman) transformation after her supposed “happily-ever-after” quickly turns into a living nightmare on discovering her husband Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) is having an affair. Liv becomes the actress starring in Will’s bad dreams after she learns about his betrayal, and her heartbreak is swiftly followed by another emotion: fury. The couple embark on an American road trip Liv’s fantasized about since she was little, from the Grand Canyon on through Yosemite, before ending up with a hedonistic weekend in Las Vegas. For Will, it’s a chance to make amends; for Liv, it’s a very different prospect—a landscape where accidents happen all the time. The perfect place to get revenge.”

This isn’t the first time Swift has premiered a re-recorded tune with a film or TV trailer. ‘Wildest Dreams’ debuted with the Spirit Untamed review in 2021 and ‘Back To December’ was attached to the trailer of The Summer I Turned Pretty season 2.

‘Look What You Make Me Do (Taylor’s Version)’ seems to fit Wilderness like a glove. Starring Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen, the 6-episode thriller looks extremely dark. Swift’s new song will also act as the opening title track, which we will without a doubt be playing on a loop when fully released.

Wilderness was created by Marnie Dickens and is based on B.E. Jones’ novel. All six episodes will be directed by So Yong Kim.
