Wishy’s latest track ‘Sick Sweet’ is somewhat of a departure from their dream-pop roots, showing a heavier, alt-rock edge that’s sure to get heads banging. As frontman Kevin Krauter puts it, the song’s all about “just living life” and “just going for it” – an energy that’s palpable from the first chord.
The accompanying music video, directed by Nate Kahn, captures the band’s infectious energy on their recent tour, giving fans a glimpse into their off-stage antics.
This is the third taste of Wishy’s debut album, ‘Triple Seven,’ following the well-received singles ‘Love On The Outside’ and the title track. With critical acclaim already rolling in for previous releases, ‘Triple Seven’ is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated debuts of the year.
Fans can catch Wishy live at The Windmill in Brixton on November 5th, a chance to experience their evolving sound firsthand. They’ll also be joining American Football and Guided By Voices on tour, plus making appearances at festivals like Pitchfork London and Hopscotch.
From shoegaze to grunge to power-pop, ‘Triple Seven’ promises a sonic adventure through alternative music history. Don’t miss out on this exciting new chapter for Wishy.
