London’s punk rock darlings, Chubby And The Gang, are set to release their new album, And Then There Was…, on 4th October. This marks their first new material in four years and their debut release under Flatspot Records. The band, fronted by the charismatic Charlie Manning-Walker, promises a return to their energetic roots with a fresh twist.
The lead single, ‘To Be Young’, is a punchy, glam-rock anthem featuring guest vocals from Kate Clover. The song blends the band’s punk sensibilities with a cheeky pop vibe, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. The accompanying music video, directed by Nick Suchak and produced by Dan Matthews, is a vibrant visual treat.
Charlie reflects on the inspiration behind ‘To Be Young’: “When you’re 17, you have no idea about life, you just exist. This song is romanticising that uncertainty. You make so many mistakes and you have no idea that you’re doing them.”
