Final John Wick: Chapter 4 trailer contains scenes of a violent nature

The final trailer for John Wick 4 has arrived; and it might contain a few more horses than we were expecting.

Horses were a John Wick 3 thing, right? Ever since the action-movie threequel saw our protagonist persuade his equine pal to repeatedly kick goons in the noggin, the image of Keanu Reeves riding to battle on a black stallion has seared its way into the zeitgeist as a defining moment of the third movie.

Lionsgate, it seems, agreed, and the final trailer for John Wick 4 sees everyone’s favourite assassin give his equestrian muscles a little extra flex. In a desert, this time. Check out the trailer below:

Series regulars Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane and the late Lance Reddick all make their return as Keanu’s partners in gentlemanly murder crime. At the same time, Bill Skarsgård gives his French accent a whirl as the villainous Marquis de Gramont, who John apparently has to defeat in single combat in his never-ending quest to stop-having-to-defeat-people-in-single-combat. There’s a shot of the Eiffel Tower, too, just to hint at where we are.

Add to that the usual natty gunplay, a spot of stabbing goons in the neck, and a series of consecutive traffic accidents which would have the AA sweating in their boots, and we’ve got the recipe for what is undoubtedly a John Wick movie.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is in cinemas and select IMAX screens now.
