Majors was accused of, and later officially charged with, assault and harassment following an incident with a 30-year-old woman. He is due to appear in court 8 May.

As reported by Deadline, Majors was dropped by both his talent agency recently as well as the PR film Lede last month.

“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and is probably the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” Majors’ criminal defence attorney Priya Chaudhry said in a March 27 statement. “We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”

Majors recently starred in Creed III against Michael B. Jordan. Following the allegations, the US Army pulled a series of ads featuring the actor.

The victim was reported to have suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital after the alleged altercation, which took place on 25 March.

Majors has denied the allegations. His lawyers recently released text messages between Majors and the unnamed woman in question.

“I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone”, one of the texts read.

Majors’ future in Hollywood is currently in flux. He recently starred in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and his character, Kang the Conqueror, is supposed to be the next big villain in the MCU

He is also due to play a big part in season 2 of Loki, which is due out this summer. Marvel has also scheduled Avengers: Kang Dynasty for 2025, which will be the first Avengers film since Avengers: Endgame. But it now seems unlikely Majors will remain in the MCU in such capacity.
