Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have announced their first headline tour of the UK and Europe since 2017, with 27 shows across 17 countries this autumn. The band are widely regarded as one of the greatest live acts in the world today, and these shows promise to be some of the most hotly anticipated of 2024.
The tour kicks off on 24 September in Oberhausen, Germany, and ends in Paris, France, on 17 November. It also includes 6 shows across the UK. The tour will follow the release of their 18th studio album, Wild God, on 30 August. The new album was announced last week alongside the release of the title track.
Nick Cave is as excited as any fan: “I never think about how a record is going togo live, it never, ever occurs to me. The lyric writing process is way too hard to take ideas like that into consideration. But, when I listen to ‘Wild God’ now, I think we can really do something epic with these songs live. We’re really excited about that – the record just feels like it was made for the stage.”
The band will play new material along with songs from their extensive catalogue. Support will come from one of 3 special guests across the dates – Dry Cleaning, The Murder Capital and Black Country, New Road. Tickets will go on sale Friday, 22nd March, at 10am local time; get them here.
