“After a years’ worth of full moon releases, I’m very happy to see all these new songs back together on the good ship i/o and ready for their journey out into the world,” said Gabriel via a press release. The album arrives after a year of moon-inspired single releases and triumphant tours across the UK, Europe, and North America. Comprising of 12 songs, i/o is the product of a rich co-op of musicians, including long-time associates David Rhodes and Tony Levin. Brian Eno and the Soweto Gospel Choir also feature on the record. It’s not just the music that’s looking promising on i/o. The artwork accompanying each track is the result of high-profile collaborations—everyone from Ai Weiwei to Nick Cave. You can pre-order the album here.
